DocuSign Cloud timeout issue?

Is there a size limitation when sending documents to DocuSign via Cloud? I am getting the following:

"The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:00:59:9450111. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout."

Hi Michelle,

That error message doesn't necessarily sound like a document size issue to me at first glance. It's saying it didn't receive a reply from DocuSign after one minute (59.95s), which could occur for a variety of reasons.

That said, DocuSign's documentation indicates they have a file size limit of 25 MB on their end:

 

Do you receive this timeout error message with documents over 25 MB and not with documents under that size?

Thanks! I wasn't even thinking of looking on the DocuSign side for this info. 

 

I just tested it again, and it appears that the envelopes do get sent out, but for some reason we are seeing that error, so it throws off the user. I have tested this with documents under 25mb with the same results.

Gotcha, thanks for testing that out. Could you please open a support case to report this for further investigation? That team has access to backend diagnostic data that I do not and they may have more insight. In the case, please specify exactly when and where the error message in question appears so they can find the corresponding backend logs and/or reproduce the issue faster.
