Hi all - in Forms currently there is minimal control over the date and date/time fields, and in the past we've used Javascript to get around this. It would be great if there were better controls in the advanced configuration for these fields.

Currently:

  • Classic Designer - can specify maximum of [n] years before or after current date
  • New Designer - can define a minimum or maximum actual date (to be honest I really don't see the point of this one as these will forever need to be amended as time goes on)

Our wish list - for both designers (or just the new one even):

  • Option for 'User cannot choose a date in the past'
  • Option for 'User cannot choose a date in the future' (we do use this one sometimes)
  • Can specify that user-chosen dates must be within maximum of [n] months/weeks/days/years (so choose the interval, and specify a number) - in the past and/or future

So the above would allow us to say that a date field selection can only be between 3 days ago and 6 months ahead (for example).

If the time is 'shown' when it's part of a DateTime field - then it would also be great to have the min/max times that are available on a standalone Time field (at the moment these are only on the Time field).

And being really picky... it would also be great to select whether to use or not a work-day schedule, if it has been configured (so ignore weekends and holidays as an option).

Thanks!
