Weblink Password forgot/reset process

Good day,

 

We have posted the following question 5 years ago (https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/119213/Weblink-Changes-to-Login-Screen).  I cannot trace a response.  We are still having problems with this Weblink function which is causing a lot of frustration for our customers and staff.  This may impact directly on our cashflow as customers cannot access their statements and invoices.

The "Forgot Password" process has two screens, both terribly confusing.  Please see attached document containing the problems we are experiencing and our suggested solution.

Hi Jacques,

The screenshots in your attached PDF do not look like the normal WebLink login page to me. The post from 5 years ago that you linked indicates that some custom modifications were implemented for you to have a custom password reset flow.

I would recommend working with your Solution Provider to see if you would be able to switch to using LFDS for your WebLink logins. It has a built-in password reset flow.

Next screen is simple:

In WebSTS config you can choose to hide the Organization field if you don't use Organizations other than Root.

WebLink 10.x and 11 support LFDS login integration. We highly recommend deploying or upgrading to WebLink 11 because it has many important security updates relevant to internet-facing websites.
