defined read only users through public portal with Cloud

In LF Cloud, can we define users without a license and have them log in with Public Portal?

 

With an On-Prem system, we can create users and mark them as read only and then they can log in through WebLink.  Can this same thing be achieved in the LF Cloud repository?

No. At this time, Laserfiche Cloud only offers the public portal option.

Any reason why the WebLink interface is preferable to the web client one for read-only users?

The customer has a lot of Read Only users that they did not want to buy additional licensing for.  Again with the On-Prem, we handle this through WebLink, so we where hoping to handle it the same way in Cloud.
