MS Teams Planner integration with LF Cloud

posted on March 28, 2022

Many of our staff use Tasks by Planner in MS Teams with the attachment feature. It would be great to have the LF Cloud integration available when a user adds an attachment in Tasks by Planner to be able to access LF Cloud directly. Essentially right now they will be adding the attachment in Tasks by Planner, saving it in Sharepoint AND LF Cloud.

I would hope that any MS apps that are used natively in MS Teams such as Tasks by Planner, One Note, etc. are able to integrate directly with LF Cloud.

Does anyone have suggestions how they can add an attachment to the Tasks by Planner that links directly to LF Cloud repository?

Hi Sherri,

The Planner doesn't provide the ways to integrate with currently. It seems there are two options:

  1. A link to URL, which can be copied from a Laserfiche Web Client
  2. Integrate Laserfiche with Sharepoint or OneDrive (not supported as far as I know), so when you click 'From team files', you can browse files in Laserfiche repository. However, it seems the Planner will generate a link to Sharepoint instead of a link to Laserfiche file.

Hi Sherri,

Thanks for this feature request. I've passed it along to the team that owns the Microsoft Teams integration for review.

Cheers,
Sam
