Export Search Result Metadata Template Fields to Excel

I am trying to export my search results metadata to excel, and I thought by default the fields included would be what is on my screen. But now it seems to default to only these 4 columns, no matter what is on my search screen.

After adding all the columns back from my template one at a time, next time I open this window it reverts back to just these 4 fields.

I am looking to download search result metadata with every field on my template included, just like it auto populated my columns in my search result with the fields from the template I am searching for.

Web Client, right?

I'm not seeing that behavior. I went to search, got results back and then added more columns to my search hits. Then I went to Generate Report and picked Metadata Report. The default columns reflect the columns displayed on the search results page.

Here is what it looks like for me. I am choosing Metadata Report (which I belive is the same as your using). You can see I have all the fields from my template in the search columns, but not Selected in the export wizard.
