Forms Access Right

Dears, 

 

We have recently noticed that Laserfiche cloud doesn't "yet" have forms access right. A feature that we come accustomed to in on-premises installations. 

 

As we read on other threads that Laserfiche currently on testing stage prior to release. Therefore, any idea when this will be released? We are in a middle of client implementation that requires this feature.

We are looking to release a new feature in Process Automation called Project workspaces to address access rights in the upcoming months but are in the midst of testing right now. It will be different than how self hosted Forms specifically has been configured for access rights.

For the initial release, system administrators will be able to delegate teams to configure access rights (specifically development and viewing of submitted data) over Projects that they own. Projects can be comprised of Forms Business Processes, Surveys, Rules and Lookup Tables and within a Project you can control access to pre-existing PA resources outside of the project, such as Workflow.

Can you elaborate on exactly what your client implementation requires? This is to help us continue to expand on the feature after the initial release as we're also in the midst of planning for that. Subsequent releases will include expanding PA resources that can be included in projects as well as more granular security rights.

Dear Tesia, 

 

thank you for elaborating on the upcoming Projects/workspaces feature. 
 

we are currently implementing a number of forms for a college. Forms need to be separated for staff and students. 
 

also within staff, different departments should be restricted to a subset of BPs in terms of submission and viewing insights/reports. 
 

We can think of a many scenarios where by defining access to forms to certain users/team/roles would be applicable. 
 

i hope there is a workaround to achieve the above within current cloud version and ofcourse we would be awaiting the new release!

Any idea how forms can be restricted for certain users, teams and/or roles? 

 

Having all forms accessible by everyone doesn't seem like a normal behavior.
