Greetings Everyone,

I have a problem and would like some guidance on a possible resolution.

I have created a form - to help automate student registration. The form was working okay, until a few days ago. I have found that the process is "suspended," in the process monitor. When I look at the instance, I find this error, "An unexpected error has occurred. [LFF502-UnexpectedError]"

The process that sends the message, is baked into the "business process," running on the forms server.

I checked the event logs, around the same day and time the process was suspended. Here is what I found,

The value of the variable "Laserfiche.Forms.Api.DataContract.RoutingParticipant" is not set. The email address cannot be found without it. Function: GetEmailOfRecipientList.

I have confirmed that there is a valid email address collected as a variable in the form.

Please share any thoughts.

What version of Forms are you using? At what type of step(user task or email service task) did the instance suspended? Can you provide the full error log when you view the error log for the instance from Monitor page? We need to know the internal error for the unexpected error.

Hey Larry,

It turned out to be a variable issue for me as well. I had mistakenly used a variable (for a field that contained a huge amount of text) in the Process Options "Instance Name". Updating the variable in the Instance Name to use the correct variable solved the issue.
