I'm hoping to trouble shoot my lined variables when building out a report. I'm building a report that used 3 different forms for finance, but they have the same elements. I'm trying to link items like "amount", "codes" (finance), but only half the time they work and the other half they're greyed out not giving me the option to select what I need.

How do I make sure I can link the appropriate variables?

Is it possible the variable you're looking for is saved in a table or is not a currency variable? I've found that variables saved in tables or collections can't be used to link variables. Also, linked variables have to be the same format as far as I can tell (date, currency, text, etc).

I know one is in a table, so maybe that's why. The formatting makes sense, but I don't understand why a table would cause this issue... Hopefully this can be sorted out and updated.

That's the problem then, and I haven't found a way around it.

The variable inside table/collection may have multiple values so it can not be linked with same type variable outside table. But you can link two variables with same type inside two tables together. Can you share why you want to link the three currency variables together as one variable? It is for displaying these currency variables values in one column?
