Question

Forms - Process Diagram Tokens - Previous (User) Submission

asked on January 31, 2022

Hello,

I was building an email task in the Forms process diagram recently and noticed the "Previous Submission" and "Previous User Submission" tokens. They both contain the same set of tokens, and I was just curious as to what the difference between the two would be. Screenshot of the tokens below:

Say I wanted to include the comments from a previous user task - would I use the token from "Previous User Submission" instead of "Previous Submission?"

Thanks!

The difference between the two is that "Previous User Submission" refers specifically to the previous User Task whereas "Previous Submission" can be the previous User Task or the previous Service Task.

For example, if you have the following flow:

User Task > Service Task (Workflow) > Next Task

Previous Submission would give you the Workflow submission data

Previous User Submission would give you the User Task submission data
