I'm developing a process for a client whose retention is permanent and cutoff for every document, but when an employee is terminated they want their documents moved to a separate archive folder. Cloud Workflow can't programmatically uncutoff a document as far as I can tell, so the best solution I've come up with so far is not cutting off the document and just removing the users' delete rights to the folder and subfolders. Is there a recommended way something like this could be implemented with RME objects?

Hi Ian,
I don't believe being in a cutoff state should prevent an entry from being moved within the repository unless Laserfiche Vault strict compliance mode is in place. Have you tried moving it directly without trying to first perform the uncutoff action?

Unfortunately that has not been my experience. As far as I know this client doesn't use Vault, but trying to move any cutoff document via workflow or otherwise, to any other folder results in the attached message. The parent folder is not closed. Though certainly there could be a different issue causing this.
