Quick Fields 11 - QF Server Service & Configuration Utility Quick Fields Server Node missing

asked on January 19, 2022 Show version history

Hi,

After upgrading to Quick Fields 11, I noticed QF Server Service disappeared from Services and when launching the QF Configuration Utility the Quick Fields Server node also is no longer there. I couldn't find any info in the documentation nor in the release notes. If possible can I have clarifications on the changes?

*Edit the 'Quick Fields Server' node is missing from the Configuration Utility.

Sorry for the confusion, Quick Fields Server 11 documentation has not been updated yet to reflect the following changes: Quick Fields Server 11 is not a windows service but rather a web service running in IIS. It is configured using "Quick Fields Server Configuration Utility" (data saved in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\Quick Fields Server\WebApi\web.config").

It's no longer necessary to specify a port when configuring Quick Fields Server in Quick Fields Scanning e.g. "http://example.com/quickfieldsapi" or “https://example.com/quickfieldsapi” (assuming no custom port was configured in IIS web site).

There are 2 installer in the Quick Fields package. Is it possible that you only installed Quick Fields, but not the Quick Fields Server?

I ran both packages and it's showing a version when launching the QF Server node in the install kit if I click modify. (v11.0.0.498).

We also no longer have to specify a port when launching Quick Fields Scanning in the Account node but LF admin guide 11 is stating otherwise.
