"Tokens to track" missing from activity properties

Hello, 

 

This is a strange thing, but I don't know why this is happening or how to fix it. 

All my "Track Tokens" activities in all of my workflows are missing the "Tokens to Track" area, which is the most important part of the activity! 

 

I don't even know how to explain the problem. The activity should look like this:

But, mine look like this:

 

 

what's happening?

 

Any help is welcome!

Have you tried it on a different computer?

This missing history is quite the mystery (sorry, couldn't resist).  For that, you could check the settings in the Workflow Administration Console under Advanced Server Options and see if something weird is showing there.  Maybe also check the drive free space, just to rule out a lack of space causing logs to be removed early.  That's just a wild guess really, I haven't had this particular error myself.

As far as the two issues are concerned, I wouldn't think they are necessarily related unless its related to a corrupted installation.

Ok.. So I have finally figured out what is going on. 

Totally by accident and right after my IT removed and reinstalled workflow in my computer. 

 

Are you ready? It's pretty stupid... 

 

All I needed to do was double click on the grey area next to the words "Tokens to Track". When you double click on any of those grey areas they "collapse" the information below. And it does this all across your workflow. 

Double click and...

 

So, I just lost 3,5 days of work, spent 40 min the phone with IT, and bugged you all nice people, over a user interface design flaw. 

 

If an admin ever reads this, please talk to your design team and make them add some sort or arrow or something. 

 

Pretty frustrated right now.

Um...  Wow...  That's a bummer.

I never realized they could do that.

I didn't know that either.  Thanks for the information!  Not sure I would have ever figured that out.

That's weird.  Don't think I've seen that one before.  If you close and re-open the designer, and add the activity to a new blank workflow, do you see the same behavior?

Maybe it just loaded funny, and re-loading things will resolve it.

Hi, 

 

I have not tried in a different computer because I'm at work this week but the majority of my co-workers are gone. 

 

I have re-started the computer and workflow several times. The strangest thing is that if I open an a different workflow (that is currently being used in production) and I open any of the "Track Tokens" activities, the same thing is happening. It's all gone. 

 

I've also noticed that when I search for the workflow results, all the history log is gone for all of my workflows. 

 

This looks like a bug of some sorts. But I am stuck because I need to work and I need to test things and "Track Tokens" is one of the most useful tools when testing.

Have you tried deleting the track tokens and re-adding it?  Or open a different workflow that it is working and renaming that workflow and using that one, instead of a brand new one?
