I have a user trying to do a custom line report categorized by start date starting from when the process was first published to current. The line graph only shows the first 4 months and then stops. Is there a maximum to the x-axis quantity for line graphs within reports, and if so, is there another way to do this without creating multiple reports with different date ranges?

Yes, the charts have data limitation, maybe you can suggest him to group dates by week to aggregate one week's data together.

What is the "Group Dates by" option the customer configured? The line chart report has a hard coded data sets limit of 17 in order to display the report clearly. Other types of chart also have similar limit, see https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/183718/Forms--Is-ColumnBar-Reporting-limited-to-only-17-results, we are considering make the limit configurable by system admin.

He is using the "Day" option for "Group Dates by." He wanted to have the line graph show over a year of data which, based on the link you provided, doesn't seem possible within custom reports.
