Performance issue with "clienthelper.exe" -- is it multithread application?

asked on December 16, 2021

One of our client had performance issue when using Laserfiche Windows Client to import PDF document directly from desktop to repository. They observed the huge CPU spike when doing so with the "clienthelper.exe" took all the load.

Can someone tell if "clienthelper.exe" is a multithread application or not? They looking to increase CPU core to the VM if that helps.

ClientHelper.exe is used for processing PDFs. It's a CPU-intensive operation that is not parallelized so it will not benefit from more cores.

Thanks Rob, is there any suggestion how to improve performance of the process?

Customer also report if the work directly through a laptop client session it's normal however move to VM session was several times slower.
