Is Team Administrator required for a team?

I'm trying to find out if any issues would be caused if we set up a team without an administrator. So far I have not found any warnings saying a team must have a team administrator, but thought it was a good idea to post the question just in case I missed it.

In my experience, since the admin users can administer all teams, there is no need to name them specifically on individual teams, and that only serves to allow other users that are not full admins to be admins of particular teams.
