Using Excel Lookups in Laserfiche

Our client has some users that share Excel files that have lookups in them to other Excel documents in the system. A user (user 1) is checking documents out, making changes and checking them back in after completion. When another user (user 2) opens the document in LF, the Excel lookups do not work properly. It is saying the file is linked to a document on the user 1's computer, even though the file is actually saved in Laserfiche.

Is there a way to use Excel files with lookups in Laserfiche currently?

Hi Justin,

Lookups within Excel that reference a windows path are not supported within Laserfiche, as the excel document it's trying to lookup is no longer available as a windows path.

As Chris mentioned, this isn't possible and I think this is an Excel limitation, not a Laserfiche issue.

Excel doesn't support connections to anything other than local or network files; it doesn't provide a way to connect lookups to content in a document management system like Laserfiche.
