Forgotten admin password...

Hi There

I have managed to forget my admin password. I am running LF 10.4 Rio.

Is the a way of resetting?

Hi Darryl,

How are you with running SQL scripts?

update trustee
set password=''
where trustee_id=2

That will reset it.

Thanks so much for your reply! I ended up making a support call locally and that's pretty much exactly how I ended up solving the problem lol!

Probably best we remove post though, wouldn't want that info in the wrong hands!

Hi Darryl,

I'm no security expert but if someone has enough rights on your system to run this script, then they have enough rights to figure it out, too. It took me under 15 minutes to find a "user" table in the Laserfiche database, and a few seconds more to spot the "password" column.
