Data Management - Excel table limit of 10k rows

posted on November 1, 2021

Hi All,

a Cloud customer we're working with was trying to upload an Excel spreadsheet to the Data Management section as a lookup table. However, they ran into an error that mentioned a 10k row limit for the spreadsheet, see attached screenshot.

Does anyone have a solid workaround to this limit?

The customer prefers not to have to breakdown the spreadsheet into multiple ones, as this would create extra work due to some 'repeating values' that they mentioned.

There is no workaround to the limit.

I would check this document out - https://doc.laserfiche.com/laserfiche.documentation/en-us/Subsystems/ProcessAutomation/Content/Resources/Service-Limits.htm

Cloud has many limitations which are really important to consider when determining what projects to do.  The data limits and starting rules alone rule out quite a bit.

Thanks Chris. We decided to split the field into 4 separate ones, A-F, G-L, M-R, S-Z. We split the Excel spreadsheet into 4. Each of the 4 fields will lookup from the corresponding 4 tables in Data Management.

FYI, LF Support emailed us back today and mentioned that they're aware of the requests about this and are considering adding the ability to do live lookups in external db's from within a Biz Process form. There is no timeline at the moment.

As of the November Release, we have raised the limits for Lookup Tables according to your license tier.

Thanks Tesia, I'll keep these new limits in mind.
