Question

The user does not belong to a group that is authorized to sign in to Laserfiche Forms

asked on October 13, 2021

Hi,

I have a demo server using the VAR Demo Kit license. My VAR license was just just renewed. I logged into LFDS and refreshed the license. I am now getting the above error when trying to log onto the form to access the custom demo system.

Regards,

Geoffrey

The Forms configurator requires you specify a DS group that allows users access to forms, then you must add yourself to that group before you have access.

Thanks Chad,

The application was fine before the renewal date. Is this issue common after renewing the demo kit license/VAR license?

I have never seen users dropped from DS groups when making any licensing changes or renewals

Chad,

Where do you go to for the Forms Configurator?  I accidently deleted my Forms Access Group and now I cannot login to Forms.

Thanks!

All the configurators for each service are found under the Laserfiche folder in Programs from the start menu. Or you can just type http://localhost/FormsConfig in your browser since it is web based and hosted locally where it is installed.

Please check what groups you have configured on User Authentication for Forms and double check the members of that groups from LFDS to confirm the user you try to login is within these group. You can try to remove the configured groups from Forms then add again if it still doesn't work.
