The" Ignore the data when field is hidden" option is used to control whether the field data will be retained when submit the form if the field is hidden. And in your case after you submit the form, when you check the variable value from instance detail, you will find only the radio button that is displayed on the form has value, the other radio button and single line which are hidden won't have value.
