Question

What table shows files to be purged?

asked on September 23, 2021

This is in regards to the LF Server "maintenance" activities for actually deleting files from the volumes once they've been purged from the recycle bin. We do a lot of migration work within a staging environment and then promote to production and it would be helpful to see what's pending that final deletion. And, ideally, a way to manually trigger it, but that's a separate request.

From what I can see, TOC and DOC clear out immediately upon purge so my guess is there's some other table tracking all the files that are ready to be deleted.

There is no table. The server does internal checks nightly during its maintenance window. Currently the only way to re-trigger a check outside the maintenance window is to restart the server service.

As JPo would say, Laserfiche Magic!

Thanks, Miruna. We worked around it yesterday by setting the maintenance window to run in about 20 minutes and then restarted the service. Did the trick and I can see why that normally only fires off in the middle of the night.
