Hello,
We have a template with 3 date fields on it. Users do not want to type in a 4-digit year on these fields. It looks like the desktop client can handle that just fine, but even after applying custom formatting to the date fields in question, the web client still displays the "Date fields must be in the format M/d/yyyy" message. Any way around this? Web client version is 11.0.2106.3.
Thanks!

Question
Date fields - web client can't accept a 2-digit year?
Replies
Hello Jacob,
Did you ever get a resolution for this?
We have a customer who wants to use European Date (dd/mm/yyyy) in Web Client search and same error. Works in the Desktop Client.
When you mention "even after applying custom formatting to the date fields in question", are you referring to the metadata field or a config file in the Web Client->Web Files folder? Trying to see if there is a possible way that can be done there.
Thanks,
Jeff Curtis
Hi Jeff,
Unfortunately our solution was to have these users use the desktop client. In regards to custom formatting, I was referring to the metadata field, not a config file. I couldn't get anything to work besides simply using the desktop client instead.
Thanks Jacob!!
Jeff
No, the web client doesn't accept 2-digit year inputs.
