Client is doing a LF Rio installation on a stand-alone workstation as they just want it for a single purpose atm without the server being involved.
How do I get by the endpoint configuration utility? for the LFDS service configuration?

Hi Ian,
LFDS does not support workgroups and should be installed on a domain alongside LFS. If LFS is not on the same domain, the two domains should have trusts.
There is a possibility that you can get LFDS and LFS working by placing them on the same workgroup machine, but that is not a supported configuration and we will not troubleshoot support cases for systems in this configuration. If you are trying to figure out what value to use for the fully qualified domain name of the machine, whatever is returned by "[System.Net.DNS]::GetHostEntry('localhost').HostName" in PowerShell may work.
Hi Chase,
Thanks. Is it possible for me to join this workstation to the domain and then continue along with out any issues. I could possibly talk the client into putting this workstation on the domain in another subnet.
Also, is it fine if this installation is on a workstation and not a server?
Yes, that should work. If it is joined to a domain and running a supported OS, it shouldn't be an issue. See the requirements here
