PDF shows no pages in Laserfiche

asked on August 31, 2021 Show version history

Some PDF documents are being imported to Laserfiche, and then the Laserfiche pages are not generated.  They come as white, blank pages.  We can't generate the pages with Quickfields or the Web Client.

Thoughts?

I have ran into the same issue. Dragged a file into laserfiche webclient and the viewer shows as a blank white page. Although, if I turn off 'File View' the pdf appears normal in the viewer. Not sure why this started happening, but it started a couple weeks ago.

Any additional information on this issue? We are seeing something similar, where User A opens a PDF file with File View turned on and no pages display. However, User B opens the same file with File View turned on and does see pages load. Don't see any differences in User settings, both are using Cloud Laserfiche in the same browser.  We just started noticing this behavior this week...

For any problem with the web client, the first place to look is in the developer tools (F12). There may be errors reported in the console there. You can try opening a tab in incognito mode as a troubleshooting step. Otherwise, you might want to open a support case so we can take a closer look.

Thank you Brian, I did open a ticket with our support service, but in the mean time I was able to resolve our issue within the Cloud environment by clearing the browser cache. Not sure what setting or issue may have been causing it in the first place, but will try to diagnose further if the issue is seen again.

If the problem with generating pages only happens with certain documents, then we would probably need to look at those specific documents to say anything about the cause. It could be a limitation with the rendering library we use, or there could be something invalid about the pdf itself. If you open a support case we can take a closer look.
