Audit Trail - What does No Data Found mean?

asked on August 30, 2021

Has anyone ever come across this? I don't know what this means and support does not know either. No data found, as in no one has ever logged in? or touched anything in the repository? That is impossible. This happened immediately after the customer deleted over 1 million files.

New database, new date ranges does not help resolve it.

I've had a very similar issue with auditing for our repository only displaying a specified time period, and nothing else - I thought it might be the size of our repository, but I wasn't sure?

Chad, Laserfiche Support knows what "No data found" means in the Audit Trail Config > Date Range section. "No data found" means that however you have the Audit Trail source configured (whether connecting directly to a repository or retrieving data from the logs separately from a folder) that it is unable to retrieve data from those logs for the specified date range. However, what we've been working with you on in the support case is to try and identity what the root of the issue is. We will continue working with you through the support case.

We are connecting directly to the repository, the repository has a file folder called AUDIT where I expect it keeps it's audit history. So from what I understand Audit Trail talks to LFS which retrieves the data from these files. Is it possible these files got corrupted after the mass delete? Is there a way to analyze the files?
