When I replace a PDF file in Laserfiche using Tasks > Manage Electronic File, the text is not updated unless I manually OCR. Is this by design or am I missing a setting?

We've noticed the actual tiff pages never seem to update unless you explicitly "Generate Pages" afterwards.
I tested with version 10.4.2.247
Does anyone have an answer to this question?
That's right, if you want to generate new pages or text that is an additional step. The search system has been improved to the point that text is generally not needed unless it can only be obtained through OCR.

That might be the case for searching but without page generation happening by default when a file already had pages there can be a disconnect / confusion for end users. Many files on weblink will open the pages view by default, if the pages are not updated the data being viewed will not be accurate.
