Using Tags to allow a user to view only very specific documents

asked on August 25, 2021

Hello,

We have a scenario where a customer has an outside auditor coming to their office next week. This person will be looking at about 500ish documents in the their repository using a participant license. They want to lock down EVERYTHING else.

How would I go about setting a tag on each document and then configuring the access rights so that user only see documents with that tag? Or is there a more effective solution? They just told me about it so I'm in a bit of a time crunch.

They are in the cloud.

Thanks! I realized that after the fact- I ended up using a non-security tags to trigger a WF that assigns rights AND puts a copy in a folder that the Auditor can view (the only folder they can view).

Security tags further restrict access to entries so they aren't going to be useful here. I think you'll need to explicitly grant them access to the 500 documents, I don't think there's a real alternative.
