Set Date and Time Reminder duplicated

Is there a known issue with a set date/time reminders in Laserfiche Forms?  It seems like if you have a set date/time reminder for a task, and that date has already passed, Forms still sends the reminder email notice to the assigned user when it is assigned to them.  This causes the user to get two emails (the assignment email and the set date/time reminder) within seconds which is not ideal.

Also, if the specific user task has already been completed, but the form process is still in progress, the set date/time reminder should not be sent for that task correct?

Hi Dillan, 

It is currently by design that reminder email will be triggered if timer is set to past time. The purpose would be that if routing service is down when reminder time is reached, the reminder will still be sent out when routing service is restarted.

Is there reason why the reminder needs to be set to past time?

 

The answer to second question is yes. Reminder email will not be sent out after the user task is completed, regardless of process instance status.
