Question

PDF paperclips issue

asked on July 29, 2021

Adobe has the feature that you can add large documents to a PDF file as paperclip (see picture).

When I import a PDF document with paperclips into the web client I am not able to view the paperclips, even if  I download the document as an Electronic File. On the desktop version, the paperclips are visible after downloading the document.

Is there an issue with the web client version that I am using? Or is there a different way to do it?

Hi Sandy, what version of web client are you using?

You can check by clicking your portrait in the upper right-hand corner and selecting "About".

Here is the version of the web client:

Laserfiche Web Client                                    10.3 (10.3.0.510)

Laserfiche Repository Access                         10.3.0.229

Thank you.

There are quite a few PDF-related fixes in Web Client 10.4.2. There's a good chance updating to the latest version would resolve the issue you're experiencing.

You can download the Laserfiche 10.4.3 package (which has Web Client 10.4.2) here:

https://support.laserfiche.com/download/4148/laserfiche-10-4-3

After upgrading, there's one additional recent patch you'll want to apply, Web Client 10.4.2 Update 4, which you can get from here:

https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1014305/list-of-changes-for-laserfiche-web-client-10-4-2-update-4

Please give that a try and then let us know if the issue is resolved or if you're still experiencing it.

Cheers,
Sam
