Task Reminder Emails Not Taking Into Account Team Filters

In Forms I have a user task that is set to a team and then a filter is applied. I also set up a reminder notification for the task. Today a reminder email went out to the entire team instead of the ones from the filter. Does the reminder notification not take into account the filter applied?

When reminder is configured to send email to 'Task Participants', it is expected to take team filter into account. It will find current task assignees firstly, then send out the email.

I still could not reproduce the issue. You may open up support ticket if further investigation is needed.

The reminder is configured to send email to 'Task participants', right? Has the user task assignment got changed after its creation when user task reminder is sent out? 

I set up a similar user task reminder but didn't reproduce the described issue.

Yes, the reminder is configured to send an email to "Task Participants" and the checkbox labeled "When a team is a recipient, include team managers and administrators" is checked.

The task is still assigned to the 3 people that come back from the filter, no one has assigned the task to themselves yet.
