Client 7.2 server 10.4

I have a client that utilizes a very specific integration with Laserfiche Windows Client 7.2, however needs to upgrade the Laserfiche Server to version 10.4.  With version 9 of Laserfiche we were able to continue using the Client 7.2 installation by configuring the Firewall Compatibility Component 7.2 and DCOM settings on the Laserfiche Server.

Will configuring these settings with LFS 10.4 allow for the Windows Client 7.2 to work with the upgraded Laserfiche server?

Shouldn't be a problem, the architecture has not changed in that part of the server.

Out of curiosity, though, what makes the integration require version 7?

Thank you Miruna!  The client has a custom VBA program they wrote for MS Access in Laserfiche 7.2.  With upgrades to Laserfiche versions 8 and 9 they were able to continue to make it work, so it was never updated.  With LF Client 7.2 not being supported on Windows 10, the client knew they would need to update the program soon.  The customer reported an issue recently in LFS version 9, so it warranted the upgrade to version 10, and they plan to update the program as well.  That said, there will be a transition period where there will be a brief period that the VBA program written with the Client 7.2 will need to work with LFS 10.4
