import agent error access is denied (event id 8)

I ran an Import Agent profile overnight and about 60 files failed to import out of 7000 (pretty good I think!). But the files failed with error "Access is denied" in the Event Viewer (Event ID 8). I verified the account IA is using to import has access to the failed files and to the repository folder. I was able to manually drag & drop the files into the repository with all the same options IA was using.

I'm not sure if this is normal for the volume of files or if there's something I need to fix. But it would be nice if we didn't need the end user to manually import files that IA failed on. Any idea's on what could cause this error?

Is there more to the error message? If yes, can you post it here?

Are the paths to the (failing) files on disk (including their name) exceeding 250 characters?

I checked the char count on one of the failed files and it was 106 char for the entire path, including the file ext.

Do these files always fail to import or occasionally fail, for example, If you move failed files into the monitor folder again, can they be imported successfully?

I ran an import on the failed doc's and they still failed to import. Verified file path of the new set are under 250 characters. It's a hodge podge of doc, xls, and pdf documents.

Then I'd recommend you create a support ticket with your solution provider, so that we can take a closer look. Please provide the profile, examples of failed files, error logs, versions, and other information that support engineers requested.
