LF Windows Client: user gets a "downloading" message box when paging through a document.

asked on July 1, 2021 Show version history

The document is about 13mb in size, so not very large.  The user has restarted her computer, but when she opens this document and pages through it, she gets a downloading progress bar that takes several seconds for each page that she pages to.  Is this normal or is there a setting that needs to be changed somewhere? Note; this does NOT happen on my computer when I'm paging through the same document.

Also, when opening a document in a web client using either Chrome or Edge she gets a blank preview tab in her browser when trying to print.

It sounds like a proxy or firewall might be interfering, causing the requests to take longer than normal.

Would that cause the "downloading" message in the Windows client as well as the blank print preview page in the browser? So far this is only happening to one user and my testing on my own computer cannot reproduce the issue.

Yes, the "downloading" message shows up when a retrieval takes more than 2 seconds. For the browser issue, try looking in the developer tools console (open with F12) for error messages.

There isn't a "developer tools console" that I could find.  However, I got screen shots as follows:

and this one from the Console section:
