I have a process in Forms v. 10.4 that starts with a message start event that the user can save as a draft. It is also set up so that once the first form is submitted, the next task autoloads. I noticed that if I save the form as a draft first, open the draft, and then submit the draft, the next task does not autoload. There is also about a 2-3 minute delay between the submitted draft clearing the draft folder in the inbox and assigning the next task. However, this does not happen if I do not save the form as a draft at any point. Is this something anyone else has run into, and if so, what did you do to get around it?

Hi Carlos,
Could you elaborate on how the next task doesn't auto load after submit the draft? Is it redirected to thank you page quickly or after a while? Any error in Windows event log at that time?
In additional, is Forms deployed with DMZ in your environment?
So the process itself is an inventory check. The first form is for the user to go through the different tables and input the number of items (if any) needed. Since it's a long list of items I want the user to be able to save the form and return to it if necessary. The second task should autoload with a form listing all the items and quantities that need to be restocked if any fields are filled out. It should end if no items were missing.
We timed it twice and got around 45 seconds to redirect to the thank you page after the draft is submitted instead of the second form automatically loading. We also checked the local and server logs, and there were no errors during the time that a draft was saved or when it was submitted. Forms is not deployed with DMZ in our environment.
From your description, it looks like that submitted draft is not processed by Forms Routing Service right away. This may related to process design or form design.
Could you please open up support case with your VAR and provided more information including the business process?
This issue has been fixed with Forms 11 Update 2.
