Forms Team Role

We have different roles inside of a team that we assigned users to. A user is part of the team but only has a specific role. Will they not be able to see only the tasks that are assigned to that team and role? They are currently able to see all tasks assigned to the team irrespective of role. Does the role come into play only when emailing the team?

You can use team filters to assign tasks based on team and role. The team filter can do things like "Assign this task to members of the team with the specified role". Any team tasks without a filter will be assigned to all team members, regardless of role.

Thanks. But if a user is assigned a role, when they go to their Team Inbox, they can see tasks under Unassigned, Completed and it will show everything is in that category for the whole team?

There is a setting on the team to "Show team tasks to all members of the team". You can restrict who can see the completed tasks using that. You cannot restrict based on roles.
