How can a file be modified before it is created?

Is the modified date pulled from Windows while the creation date is not?

That's likely caused by a briefcase import from an older system. The creation date is when the documents were created in the current repository. The last modified date is when the documents were last modified (which would've come through from the old repository through the briefcase import).

Oh so it only pulls the modified date, but resets the creation date. I guess that still works, we will just make sure to do searches by modified instead of created.
