save custom PDF fields when importing to laserfiche

I have a PDF with custom fields. Is it possible to import my custom PDF into Laserfiche repository WITHOUT loosing my PDF fields that has data in the fields?

Hi Carlos,

As long as you have your settings configured to keep the original PDF file that you import, you shouldn't have issues retaining that metadata. If you have your settings configured to generate Laserfiche pages and to discard the original PDF, then you'll lose your data.

You can check these settings by opening the Laserfiche Windows client, logging in, and clicking Tools -> Options in the menu bar at the top. Screenshot below of the settings to check:


Does this help or am I not understanding your question? If you're using other Laserfiche apps to import these documents into Laserfiche, there are similar settings for those apps, too.
