How does Quickfields Activation Work for DS environments?

Within the QF Activation Window there is only an option to upload a text file. But creating a text files requires a hardware profile. Is the hardware profile displayed somewhere in the activation window?

I don't think generating a profile automatically will work unless we are a member of their local Administrators group on their workstation.

When we install Quick Fields we have an option to obtain the license from LFDS.

My activation window just has a file or an activation key

You register the instance in Directory Server manually. If you need to obtain the hardware fingerprint, run the ActivationToolNet4 util from the Quick Fields install folder.

Ok, we do have a hardware fingerprint entered for them. I can have them run the utility to see if it matches. In my experience with Laserfiche server products, that tool does not display the fingerprint.
