Hi Mazahir,
Don't worry about the migration. Every time when you open the Audit Trail Administration page after installing, it will popup a dialog asking for migration. Once done, all the previous report templates will be available for AT 11. Even you've dismissed the dialog accidentally, you can add the following key/value into Windows Registry to bring it back.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Laserfiche\Audit Trail]
"Migrated"="Need"

Hi Leon,
I tried this option, but did not work.
The Audit Trail is installed in new server, and I'm trying to bring my old server template to the new server. So the upgrade is happening on the new server setup.

Hi Kirubaa,
For your special case, if you've installed a new AT 11 on a different server, you have to follow the guides below to complete the template migration.

Leon
Hi Leon,
Thank you for the steps.
I've Already configured the Audit trail 11 in the new server, before figuring out on how to migrate the report template.
Is it possible from this point to migrate again?
Also Step #5, Copying Log Folder, does this means the repository Audit Folders?
Kirubaa, If so, you have to remove all the repository configurations from the new AT server first. Then modify the registry as follows:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Laserfiche\Audit Trail]
"Migrated"="Need"
Next, you need to restart the app service by the following command line with admin privilege:
%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd recycle apppool /apppool.name:AuditTrailAppPool
After that, you should follow the guide from step #2.
Also, your are correct about step #5.
Anyway, I still recommend you to reinstall the AT 11 from scratch again on a new server since everything should be reset before migration if configured.
Hi Leon,
I try this option of adding new registry, recycling APPPool and restarting the Audittrail services. But no migration pop-up came up.
Is there any other way to uninstall and reinstall of audittrail in the server?
Regards
Kirubaa
HI Kirubaa,
After adding new registry, recycling APPPool and restarting the Audittrail services, do you start to follow the guide above from step #2 until step #9?
Even if you uninstall/reinstall, you also need to strictly follow the guide mentioned above from step#1 to step#9, including copying templates and audit log folders.
Regards,
Leon
Hi Leon,
All the steps are completed even before the AppPool reset.
Is it mandatory to follow the steps sequentially? In this case I need to remove the template folders, registry entries and stop the services to reset the appPool reset.
Please confirm!
