Question

Public Portal Questions

asked on May 21, 2021

Unless I'm missing something, is there no way to use the cloud public portal unless you're logged in as the Public_Portal_User?  Standard public portal allows you to log in as a non-licensed user with your own credentials, but I don't see that option in the cloud.

Secondary question, when you click help in the cloud, why do MANY of the links go to the on-premise help pages that have no correlation to the cloud.  I have experienced this often enough, but customers are also quite confused and annoyed spending time getting confused over what they do or don't have access to.

Thanks.

Forgot one more question. . .we can track how many public forms are filled out, but where would one find the data on how many hits WebLink is getting?

At thsi time, Laserfiche Cloud only provides the public portal functionality of what is known as WebLink for self-hosted installations.

Public Portal usage is available on the Plan page in the same place where Forms Portal submissions stats are.

OK, so the cloud public portal is only accessible by the PublicPortalUser, thanks for that info, it's what it appeared like but seemed odd that it was so different from the on premise system.  However, that page doesn't show usage, just how many public portal views are available.  I'm attaching a screenshot of a customer that is actively using the portal. . .but no stats.  This is the same on our cloud account.  No stats, just shows what you've purchased.  You can see at the bottom of the image that it does show how many public forms have been submitted though.  Is this data supposed to be there for the portal?

Oops, looks like I jumped the gun on that graph because I was looking at our pre-production environment. It's ready but not deployed yet. It should be available after our next deployment.
