Question

Save to Open Folder not enabled with Office Integration 11.0.0.425 (x86)

asked on May 18, 2021

After installing the office integration plugin we no longer have the ability to use the "Save to Open Folder" with the corresponding Laserfiche folder we have open.

We also applied the latest update to 11.0.0.425 to see if this may have rectified the issue. However, we are still seeing "Save to Open Folder" greyed out.

Thinking I may have missed a setting, I cannot find any white paper or configuration instructions beyond linking the repository to the WebAccess configuration menu.

I would like to note that on our older systems running the 10.4.0.50 office integration plugin; we still have the option to Save to Open Folder and it updates depending on the repository selected (even the ones updated to v.11 w/ update 1)

Any guidance on configuration that I may have missed would be greatly helpful.

Another quick test to complete would be to make sure you have the Laserfiche Webtools Agent installed on your machine. You can download it from the Web Client -> Options -> Advanced

This issue is probably caused by the "Laserfiche.OfficeMonitor" process not running. You can check if this program is running using the Windows Task Manager. If you do not see this process, restarting your machine should restart it automatically.

Thank you for the information Quinn. I double checked and the process "Laserfiche.OfficeMonitor" is running. I rebooted for good measure to verify and I am still seeing the same issue. Are you aware of any white paper regarding the configuration of the Office Plug-in?

I'm not aware of anything like that. I would suggest opening a support case, so we can gather more information about your issue and current environment. I am unable to reproduce the issue using 11.0.0.425

Thank you Quinn, seems I had missed the important step of installing the Webtools Agent. As an aside, do you know if it is possible to connect multiple environments (not repos) to the be detected by the office plugin? Eg: Dev Environment and a Prod Environment
