Error after upgrading to Laserfiche 11 with Update 1: "LF is not defined" - when using URL from Generated Laserfiche Web Client URLs

asked on May 16, 2021 Show version history

We recently upgraded our environment to Laserfiche 11 and applied the Update 1 that came out a few weeks ago. Our URLs that are generated from the workflow (using the Generate Laserfiche Web Client URLs) are authenticating us however landing us on a blank page.

In the console we are seeing the following error when "If entry is an electronic document: Open in Document Viewer" is set for both the Entry and Parent Folder id.

The URL generated:
https://ourlaserficheserver/laserfiche/index.aspx?db=ourrepodb#/id=11339593;view=pages

and there it sits.

If we point the Starting Web Client from the very same workflow to our server running 10.2 we do not see this issue and it ends up resolving the URL as such:
https://10.2lfserver.com/laserfiche/index.aspx?db=ourrepodb#id=11656893;view=pages

which then goes to:
https://10.2lfserver.com/laserfiche/DocView.aspx?docid=11656893&db=ourrepodb

and loads just fine.

I must have missed a setting when upgrading as I cannot figure out why it will no longer load the page anymore in our upgraded environments.

This is a known issue with version 11. A fix is in the works but we don't have a release date for it yet.

A fix is available in https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1014300/list-of-changes-for-laserfiche-web-client-11-update-2

I am having this problem too. What is the work around? To download only?

@████████,

Do you have any updates on this issue?  I am experiencing this problem on LF 11. Is there any kind of work-around until the fix is released?

Thanks.

The latest June update that Miruna linked, corrects the error.

Does running this update cause downtime in the webaccess or any other systems?

Patches may reset the application pool so there may be a few seconds of downtime.
