Forms 11- WF Service Task sitting at "In Progress"

Hello,

Customer was just updated to Forms 11 today (5.14).

They let us know that the following is happening:

"Workflow service tasks that are set to wait until they complete in the process modeler perpetually state that they are “In progress” in the Forms monitoring page."

"The features such as “Skip, Interrupt, Retry” have no effect on the process"

I looked here in Answers and could find a hit specific to this.

I am having the user try to recycle FormsAppPool and restart Forms Routing Service, tp see if this helps, but in the interim, wanted to post this here in case anyone else has encountered this issue.

Hi Jeff,

Is 'workflow stuck in progress' issue happen to all instances or certain instances? Is there any error message on problematic instance?

Also, is there any error message when user try to skip/interrupt/retry the instance?

Hello Ziyan,

This affects all BP's with WF Activities. No errors when looking at the Instances.

There are no errors thrown when the user tries the skip/interrupt/retry of the instances.

Does test WF from Forms configuration site still pass? What about test Forms from WF?

Also, any error on WF server?

Hi Jeff,

We had the same issues and created a support case. We were provided with a hotfix (not officially released yet) that has resolved the problem for us. Perhaps you should do the same if you have not already done so.

What version of Forms did you upgrade from? One issue we ran into was upgrading with the SSL checkbox checked. Try unselecting Use SSL in the Forms Config where you set up your Workflow server, save, then recheck that option. We fixed this a while ago, but if you upgraded from a much older version, it's possible that's the bug.
