Forms Task Suspended "The server is not operational"

asked on May 13, 2021

Hello,

Customer has a simple form that suspends at the service task with the following error:

Caught exception: Laserfiche.Forms.CommonUtils.Exceptions.LFFormsException
Message: An unexpected error has occurred. [LFF502-UnexpectedError]

Inner exception: System.Exception
Message: The server is not operational.  The server is not operational.
   at Laserfiche.Forms.Routing.ServiceTask.Execute(Int32 instanceId, IRoutingContext routingContext)

We have:

1. Confirmed the Repository is correct

2. Set AppPool to use LocalSystem

3. Set Forms Routing Service to use Domain Service account which is a local admin on the Server

4. Checked the DC Configs in User Auth and they are correct

The error message I posted is all that is logged in the Event Viewer

Appreciate the feedback,

Jeff Curtis

"The server is not operational" is not an error generated in Forms. I googled the error message and it looks like related to domain controller. Have you checked network configuration on the machine? Could it properly connect to the targeted server?

Have you tried also using the Domain service account with the FormsAppPool?

Hello Ziyan,

It is a general Service Task that is triggered when a Forms is submitted.

The task is then supposed to generate an email and a calendar invite, but it suspends before it process the email and calendar invite.

Appreciate your feedback,

Jeff Curtis

Thanks Ziyan,

I am following up with the customer and their IT group, as they added some new Domain Controllers and LDAP changed.
