Hi Shameer,

Please check your Directory Service > Server event logs for any messages regarding licensing site failure to attach, this may help point you in the right direction.

Dear Chase

After I was checking with Event viewer the error showing "SOAP security negotiation with 'http://XXXX/LicenseManager/service' for target 'http://XXXX/LicenseManager/service' failed. " how to solve the issue .

At first glance, I'd recommend upgrading LFDS to 10.3.1 or above. Otherwise I'd recommend renewing LSAP and opening a support case so we can gather more information about your system.

At first glance, I'd recommend:

  1. Check the service principal set in XmlEndpointUtility is the value you expect
  2. Check that the host names in LFDS.exe.config are correct
  3. Upgrade LFDS to 10.4 or above.

If none of the above help your issue, or you need assistance with the above, I'd recommend renewing LSAP and opening a support case so we can gather more information about your system.

Hi chase

Thanks for the update

I checked both xmlEndpointutility and lfds.exe both are correct ,

In regards with upgrade from 10.2 to 10.4 , Since we are in process to renew our lsap service , we afraid that if any thing goes wrong we cannot reactive the license since our lsap is expired .can you please advise that upgrade from 10.2 to 10.4 is not related to LSAP renewal or even without LSAP we can re activate the license which we have now .

Do we have any step by step guide for upgrading 10.2 to 10.4 , unfortunately the Laserfiche Support vendor upgraded 10.2 to 10.4 all Laserfiche services server except directory server ,when we are under the LSAP and now it is claiming that Since LSAP is expired and cannot do the upgrade .

For Avante and Rio products, your license is permanent and will activate/reactivate at any time. The version you'd be entitled to is the latest version available when your LSAP expired. So for example, if your LSAP expired in January, you'd be able to get version 10.4, but not 11 since 11 was released after your expiration.

In your case, our records show you are using Rio. An expired LSAP means Laserfiche Tech Support can't open a case and help you if you run into issues (until LSAP is renewed). What your vendor is allowed to do would be governed by your contract with them.
