Start Form from Webclient

Is it possible from WebClient to start a Forms instance? 

 

We need to start a process that carries the id of the selected document; In OnPremise installations it is very easy but in Cloud it is getting complicated.

One common approach is to use the Custom Tabs feature of web client to put a form inside the details pane. You can pass parameters such as entry id in the url.

What is your approach for self-hosted that doesn't translate to the Cloud?
