Forms user task reminder sending two emails

I am trying to design implement a process that reminds employees on paid family medical leave to upload their documentation after they receive it from the state. 

I set up a reminder in the forms process:

 

 

But it keeps sending two emails:

 

Is this a configuration issue? 

 

We are running Laserfiche Forms Professional Version 10.4.5.282

The reminder timer is triggered and processed by Laserfiche Forms Routing Service. I suspect there are 2 Laserfiche Forms routing service are started in your environment, so reminder timer is being triggered and processed twice.

Could you confirm with IT that the Forms routing service on anonymous forms server is stopped and disabled according to

For new instance, reminder timer will be firstly registered to system and expected routing service handles it. While, when the other routing service is started(unexpected), it will read all timers registered in system and handle them as well. So it is possible that the new test process works until the unexpected routing service is restarted.

Does this issue happen to all instances or specific instance? Is there any DMZ setup in your Forms environment?

For this business process, this is the only instance running this step.

We have an anonymous forms server for external users and an internal users only forms server. My IT department doesn't classify the anonymous server as being in a "DMZ". But I am guessing that is what you are talking about. 

I built a test business process and set a reminder and it is functioning normally for the test process.

Well, it was on. I'm not sure how it got back on. It was disabled a few months ago. 

Anyway, I can see how that would gum up the works. Thanks for your response!
