Lots of sessions for one user - general question

General Question here!

I see one of our users with dozens of concurrent sessions simultaneously. Can someone generally explain this? Should I do anything about it?

From your screenshot, the 5th column shows what application they are using to access Laserfiche. It looks like they may multiple Excel files and email files open. It could also be that after they are done with those documents that the session is not getting closed out correctly. I see some of them are a few days old. What version of Laserfiche Server are you on?

I skimmed the release notes for the newer versions of Laserfiche server and did not see anything that specifically relates to what you are seeing, but it would not be a bad idea to upgrade your environment since the latest version LF Server for 10 is 10.4.3.

Gotcha. What happens if I manually disconnect these sessions? How would that affect the user?

I would just check with the user to verify if they have any spreadsheets open from Laserfiche. If not, disconnect them all.

This is a know issue with the Office plug-in. It's been addressed for Laserfiche 11. Reference ID 259828 .
