Question

Problem with Distributed computing cluster and Workflow

asked on April 8, 2021

Hi everyone.

I have a problem between DCC and Workflow, because when I did a flow to make a OCR in documents without text, looks like did the job, but in the repository nothings happens.

I show what I did

I have some documents without pages or OCR Pages

I made a Workflow that search this documents, and sent to DCC this entrys to generate the OCR; the search find 3 entry's, and for each entry made the Programing OCR

As you look, the Workflow did his job

In the DCC the jobs are listed as ready...

In this document in example, the ID 138, DCC did the job:

But in the repository, the 3 documents still has no change, with OCRless, neither pages.

The Workflow user has all the rights and characteristics, also is a full user in the repository

Thanks

Hi, I will answer myself, the problem it is that the documents don't have any pages, so, the DCC only works with entrys with pages... so, my problem is first to generate pages, Workflow 10.4 don't have any tool to generate pages.... until Workflow 11, so, I upgrated the app and with this new tool, a begun to made the pages first and then the OCR... and all works fine... I have another problem, but I will create a new question to that...

OCR is not guaranteed to read text from any page. There are some limitations in terms of page size and resolution and such.

Have you tried OCRing the document in the desktop client with the same settings? Does that give you text?

Side note: You don't need to use For Each Entry to send search results to DCC. It's more efficient to send the entire results set.
